KRIA has recently achieved another important certification for its T-EXSPEED v2.0 device: Section Speed Measurement (also designated as Average Speed). This new certified functionality includes multi-lane and bidirectional operation.
The certification was published by the Italian Transport Ministry on 29/12/2016 (you may find the decree here).
This is the first and only worldwide system to achieve section (or average) speed measurement certification by using stereo vision, providing with 3D vehicle shape and its position at the start and end of the road section, to achieve the highest speed measurement accuracy.
