2004, May - Kria has been selected by BIC (Business Innovation Center) of Milan (Italy) and takes part to “Digital Gate to Califonia” mission, an important project of “Provincia di Milano” for the internationalization of 9 very promising local enterprises.
In Silicon Valley Kria’s image processing and understanding technologies (license plate recognition, vehicle classification, 3D face reconstruction) aroused high interest.
The Company’s CEO Stefano Arrighetti established many commercial, VC, scientific and institutional contacts in the Bay.

2003, April - The company took part in the 2002 ‘Start-Up’ competition organized by the Province of Milan to award funds to the most promising entrepreneurial projects.
The results of the competition have recently been published on the Province’s website and we were delighted to see that KRIA ranked fourth out of two hundred and fifty applicants in the overall classification and first in the specific image processing sector.

This recognition confirms that we have made an excellent start and encourages us to proceed with our R&D plans.
